I mentioned yesterday that my husband, Ron, and I went to a quilt show in Racine, Wisconsin last weekend (Lighthouse Quilters Guild Show called Lighthouse Legacies).
I posted a few pictures from the show, but I knew if I posted too many at once, you might not really appreciate them all. With that said, I saved my favorite quilt for today! Not only is it a beautifully made quilt, but the message just pulls at my heartstrings.
Being a granddaughter of a WWII veteran, a niece of an Air Force veteran, wife of a retired Navy Submariner, sister of a Navy veteran, mother-in-law of an Army soldier currently serving in Afghanistan, and the mother of a young lady serving in the Navy, I guess you could say patriotism, honoring those who have serve(d) and love of my country are some of the things I hold dear to my heart.
What kind of quilt pulls at your heartstrings? What do you hold dear to your heart? I would love to hear from you.
