I have told you about the quilt I made, now let me tell you about one of the visits! Mom and Daddy came to visit. They pulled up in their second home (an RV – their first home is a fifth wheel) and parked it in the drive. I love it so much when they come to visit!

Daddy had made five wall mounted quilt racks for me! Four of these are the same size. They are for quilts I have yet to make. I want to make each one of a different season with a bird and birdhouse on them. I am still throwing different ideas around in my head as to how I want these quilts to look. I guess until they are made I have four beautiful quilt racks looking at me in my studio! The fifth rack is larger and holds my Gardening Quilt (see photo).
While they were here, mom started a wall quilt to donate to a church bazaar in Llano, Texas. She is almost done with it and it looks so adorable! Maybe I can get her to send me a photo of the finished product to share! I love spending time with Mom in the quilt studio, time seems to fly by as we work on various projects, talk, and laugh about anything and everything. Isn’t it amazing how everyone feels “at home” in the studio?
Stay tuned for Part 3!
